Back in the Trancura River!

Finalmente la lluvía y el frio nos está dando un pequeño respiro, el sol ha salido por fín aquí en Pucón y parece que el verano está a pocas semanas de empezar! Ayer fuímos a remar el Alto Trancura con las rats!! Gringo, Zorro y Batlle'pro. El nível de agua estába bastante bién! La pequeña ola en el Put-In estava realmente bién, puta que andábamos con creekboats. El Feo, Mariman y la última sonrisa POTENCIADOS!

Finally the rain and cold days stopped!! It's sunny and hot here In pucón, and It seems like summer will be here in a few weeks!! yaaay!! We went to the upper Trancura yesterday with the rats! Gringo, Zorro and Batlle'pro. The water level was good! The little wave In the put-in was so sick, we was using creekboats, fuck it. El feo, Mariman and the last sunrise where sick!

Después de correr la sección, unos buenos amigos chilenos nos estában esperando en el rapido del Pescador con un asado y birras!! Gracias chicos!! Estuvo vacán!

Hoy hemos decidído volver al Trancura, con los botes de freestyle y provar la pequeña olita. Estuvo muy bién, era un poco difícil entrar en la ola sin cuerda pero disfrutamos de un dia tomando el sol y freestyleando un poco en esta divertida ola.

Today we've decided to go back to Trancura, with our playboats and try the little wave. It was great, It was kinda hard to get In the wave without rope but we enjoyed a hot and sunny day In a funny little wave!

Tres Saltooos Again, and Again.

Después de una larga noche en el Mamma's nos hemos despertado tarde y hemos decidído ír a correr 3 saltos. A medida que avanza la temporada aquí en Pucón está llegando gente de todas partes, ayer llegaron los chicos Young Guns Tyler Bradt (el hombre world record) y Rush Sturges wena onda! Estos dias ha estado hacíendo mucho frío, llovíendo a todas horas y hasta nevando!! Hemos remado el Trancura con mangote (mini zambezi style), el Nevados con harta agua, Desagüe, Palguin... El Volcán de Villarica debe tener harta nieve pero hara más de 2 semanas que no tenemos el placer de verlo... qué salga el sol yaaa!!!

Finally after a long night In the Mamma's we woke up late and decided to go 3 saltos!
As the season progresses here in Pucón more people have shown up da younguns Tyler Bradt (world record men) and Rush Sturges arrived yesterday and here they are killin'it! Here are some good shots from 3 saltos this morning with a big group of people. We haven't been paddling a lot all this days because It was so cold, and raining all the fucking day, also snowing.... We have paddled Trancura with big water (it's like mini zambezi, so sick), Desagüe....

Coilaco and 3 saltos again!!

Hace un par de dias nos reunímos todo el Perros Vagos crew para ír a correr Coilaco y 3 saltos. Después de muchos dias llovíendo cada dia, todos los rios aquí en Chile están a tope de agua increíble.

A few days ago we met with all the perros vagos crew to run Coilaco river and 3 saltos. After a lot of days raining every day, all the rivers here in Chile are full of water!!

Después del salto el rio se pusó muy feo, con muchísimos troncos a lo largo del rio que nos obligaban a portear todo el rato. Después del cuarto porteo decidímos salirnos, cosa muy difícil teniendo en cuenta como eran los margenes del rio ( ver foto). Escalamos sin el kayak por esta jungla de vegetación y tiramos cuerdas para sacar los kayaks, no fue nada fácil y perdimos más de 2 horas solamente en llegar al camino de tierra. Una vez allí andamos hasta el take-out, unos 4km. más en uno de los dias más frios y lluviosos desde que estoy aquí en Chile! Una buena aventura!!

After the drop the river become so ugly, with a lot of wood in the middle of the river, so we had to portage a lot of rapids. After the fourth portage or so, we decided to get out of the river wich Is really difficult because of the shores full of vegetation. We climbed and then took our kayaks with ropes, It was so hard and frustrating we spent more than 2 hours just to get out of the river and find the dirt way. Once we got there we walked to the take-out, 4 km. more In one of the coldest and rainy days since we are here In chile! Nice adventure!!

Después de la larga caminata estabamos enfadados y cansados, así que decímos ír a por algo más fuerte! Tres saltos era la respuesta! Cuando llegamos, nos pusimos muy contentos de encontrar un nível de agua tan bueno! Las rocas de donde se entra al salto estaban prácticamente cubiertas y la caída era suave, con mucho foam! El nível perfecto para correr está béstia!

After the long walk we was angry and tired so we decided to go for something bigger, tres saltos was the answer! When we arrived there we where so happy to find a really nice water level !! The rocks of the Put-In was almost under the water and the landing was really soft !! Perfect level to run that Beast!

Carhuello river & Ojos de Caburgua.

Sigue llovíendo aquí en Pucón, esto nos está permitiendo remar un montón de rios con níveles de agua más que aceptables. Hace un par de dias remamos el rio Carhuello con Anton, Evan y Rodrigo. La sección que corrímos es corta pero bonita, con pequeños drops y slides, y 2 rapidos bién fuertes. Uno de ellos es un 1st D aún por correr.

Still raining here In Pucón, this is helping us to paddle some great rivers with a really nice levels. A few days ago we paddled the river Carhuello with Anton, Evan and Rodrigo. The section is short but nice. With some little drops and slides, and 2 hard rapids. One of them Is still a 1st D.

Nevados High water!

Después de una semana de intensas lluvías, finalmente hemos podido disfrutar del gustazo de remar con la ropa seca, entrar y salir del rio con un poco de sol y calor y remar un rio increíble con un buen mangote de agua!!! Un dia perfecto!

After 1 week raining like crazy! We finally headed to Nevados and enjoyed this amazing river with dry gear, some sunshine and the hottest day In more than a week. The water level was also really good! What a perfect day!

Fue un descenso rápido y sin problemas, tuvimos que portear algún paso que estava muy feo con está agua, todo bién!

Rio Turbio

Hoy hemos ído a correr el rio Turbio con Evan, Anton, Gringo, Matías y Yoyo.
El Turbio es el rio principal que desciende del Volcan Villarria. Es un rio de deshielos muy fuertes o intensas lluvías.

Today we went run the rio Turbio with Evan, Anton, Matías and Yoyo.
Turbio comes from Volcan de Villarica. It's really difficult to take It with a good water level, and you need heavy rains to run It.

Punto de reunión en el Trancura.

Ayer por la tarde fuímos a echarlé un vistazo, estaba muy alto, así que decídimos dejarlo para la mañana siguiente .Desafortunadamente esta mañana el nível del rio había bajado enormemente hasta dejarlo en un nível bajo... el frío era terrible estaba nevando, llovíendo y el agua estaba helada!!

We went and check It out yesterday, It was really high, so we decided to wait and do It the next day. Unfortunatly the levels dropped this morning and the water level became Low... It was so cold and It was snowing, the water was so cold dude!

Después de una larga caminata de unos 2km llegamos al put in del rio. El rio empieza con un bonito drop de unos 7 m, la caída es dura y tiene muy poco fondo.

After a long hike-up about 2km. we get in to the Put In. The river starts with a nice drop of 7 m, the landing is hard and shallow...

Después de este bonito drop/slide el rio sígue para abajo con muchos otros saltos, slides y pasos super bonitos hasta llegar a un salto de unos 6 metros que marca el take out.

After this nice drop/slide the river keeps with a lot of drops, slides and nice rapids. The take-out Is after a nice 6m drop, 100 meters after the bridge.

El rio está bién pero el bajo nível de agua y el intenso frío ha echó el descenso bastante coñazo!!!

Tres saltos

Hoy hemos ido a remar Los Tres Saltos, con los Garcia Brothers, Anton, Rodrigo y Batlle'pro. Un increíble río casi barranco con tres bonitos saltos, explotados como sitio turístico por su belleza y la de todo el valle.

Today we went paddling Los tres saltos, with garcia brothers, Anton, rodrigo and Batlle'pro. It's and incredible river almost canyon with 3 nice drops, exploted as turistic places due to the beautiful landscape.



Son ya más de 3 dias llovíendo muchísimo y con fuertes ráfagas de viento, así que los rios han pillado un nível muy alto, así que hay que aprovechar para remar todo lo que se pueda! Pagamos la entrada y fuímos a mirar el drop grande, ya habíamos venido el dia anterior y el nível no era demasiado alto así que decidimos esperar un dia más ya que dan lluvía para toda la semana.

It's more than 3 days raining a lot with heavy wind, so rivers are high, and we're trying to paddle everything we can! We paid the entry and went check out the biggest drop, we came the day before but the level wasn't right to go so we waited until today, It will be raining all week long.

Hacía mucho frío, al acabar de hacer el drop se ha puesto a nevar!!! Hemos corrído solo el drop de 18 m. el más grande de los tres.

It was so cold, and when we finished the drop started snowing . We just runned the drop of 18 m. the biggest one of three.
